Because of the NCAA "First Four" being hosted at UD Arena, the Dayton Flyers were forced to play on the road, despite being the higher seeded team in their first round matchup. The problem was their defense didn't make the trip to Iowa City in an 84-75 loss to the seven seed Iowa Hawkeyes.
