It was assumed that senior Kevin Dillard wouldn't play on Saturday when the Flyers hosted Murray State in a crucial non-conference affair at UD Arena. The point guard was absent for the final four-plus minutes of Dayton's home loss on Wednesday, and it appeared that they would have to take on their biggest challenge to date without him. Optimism rained down that he would be able to give it a go at about 10 a.m. on Saturday, but just how effective he could be was a question. The question was firmly answered as his performance lit up UD Arena in a gritty 77-68 win over the Racers.
