Let's go back to January 2003. The Bruins are right in the midst of the worst season anyone still standing upright has ever seen. One of the few bright spots and good moments of that season is taking place on a snowy night on the Palouse as Jason Kapono puts in nine three-point baskets along with 44 points in a Bruin win over Washington State.

At the same time, nearly 1,300 miles away at Pauley Pavilion, a 17 year old high school junior named Arron Afflalo is introducing himself to his future home crowd.
