The Dayton Flyers have amassed a lifetime of memories that has been part mission and part promise to the City of Dayton and the Flyer Faithful. The achievements made did not occur by happenstance, but by the vision of many different men and women at UD. The man that is known as the modern "Grandfather of UD basketball", Tom Blackburn started the mission for the University of Dayton basketball program.
