As was reported by FlyerHoops.net on Sunday, Dayton sophomore forward Ralph Hill has decided to transfer to finish out his college basketball career. Hill contemplated giving up basketball altogether to conentrate on academics, but in the end he couldn't bare the thought of not having basketball in his life.

Ralph played in 25 games in 2011-12, averaging 1.4 points and 1.9 rebounds for the Flyers. He posted career highs of seven points and seven rebounds against Saint Joseph's.

The same source that said Hill wouldn't return to Dayton next season also mentioned that the University of Toledo had already reached out to gauge Hill's interest in becoming a Rocket.

"I really love UD, but I've played basketball all my life and finding the best role and fit for my future is what has brought me to this decision," the Westerville native said in a press release. "This is one of the toughest choices I've ever had to make. I know I will always follow the guys, they are my brothers. But sometimes you have to do what you think is best for you."

It leaves Dayton with three scholarships to fill again with point guard Khari Price and Northland forwards Devon Scott and Jalen Robinson committed to the Flyers for the fall.
